Adam Saskin

Adam Saskin is a partner in both the firm’s Corporate/Commercial Law Group and Real Estate Law Group. His Corporate/Commercial practice focuses on advising start-ups and technology companies from formation through to exit, as well as M&A, private equity, venture capital, equity and debt financing. In the context of Adam’s Real Estate practice, he has extensive experience in acquisitions and dispositions, the structuring and formation of real estate funds, financing and commercial leasing matters. Before joining Fasken Martineau, Adam Saskin practiced at a national US firm in Boston and another law firm in Montreal.

Constantinos Ragas

Costa focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, information technology, and start-ups, including in the context of complex multi-jurisdictional cross-border transactions. Before entering law, Costa worked in social media, web site design and programming, and has a keen understanding of the practical commercial and legal problems faced by small businesses and startups in the information technology sector.

Geoff Pedlow

As a member of the Technology and Securities Group of Fasken’s Vancouver office, Geoff advises emerging companies and the investors that fund them in connection with early stage, venture capital, growth equity, private equity and M&A transactions. Focusing on the technology sector, Geoff advises entrepreneurs, start-ups and venture-backed technology companies, from ideation through business organization, capital raising and exit. Geoff provides a broad range of pragmatic legal advice at the business formation stage and continues to serve as the first point of contact for clients as the business matures, regularly working with them on matters relating to debt and equity financing, liquidity transactions, and day-to-day corporate law matters. In addition, Geoff advises on complex commercial matters relating to information technology, including licensing and development, for business in a variety of industries.

Jeff Dennis acts as the firm’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence. A trusted advisor, Jeff works with high growth companies, providing strategic advice and financing. Frequently working with start-ups, acquisition and financing for a variety of businesses, Jeff has assisted clients spanning a range of industries, including real estate, hospitality, film , insurance, cosmetics, franchising, high technology, alternative energy, investment management, medical software, online auctions, incentive marketing and employee motivation. Co-founder of the Toronto Chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization, now called the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), Jeff has served in many leadership capacities for the organization, both nationally and internationally. Through his association with EO and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, Jeff created a seminar series called “Lessons from the Edge.” Through this series, which is the highest rated session at the annual EO conventions, entrepreneurs share their worst mistakes in business and the important lessons they learned. Jeff’s book Lessons from the Edge was inspired by this successful seminar series. Jeff was also Profit Magazine’s “Entrepreneur in Residence,” and continues to write a blog on issues of interest to entrepreneurs. A lawyer by training, Jeff is also a graduate of the “Birthing of Giants” executive education program of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. A sought-after public speaker by both entrepreneurial groups and business schools, Jeff has traveled to countries including Thailand, India, Nepal, the U.S. and Canada to speak.
